But he's really NOT the father...

I guess I don't understand why she got upset here. Technically, he's not the father of those babies. I'm a woman and I wouldn't have taken offense to him saying that.

Also, the entire "we've just met, we're dating, now I'm giving up everything to be the father of your children" moved waaaay too fast IMO. They had barely been together a few months (as evident by the size of her tummy) and he was already starting to worry about finances in the future? Ya, that's not realistic at all I'm sorry. He went from not even knowing who she was to acting like he was in this situation forever in just a few short months.

i found this movie so unrealistic! it's a movie though so there's going to be a fairy-tale ending!

He wants to be with her, although she she will be a mother soon. He will do whatever to be with her, so he fully respects her decision to have kids. It is not so unrealistic to care for another persons child like your own. believe it or not, I've seen it happen, and turns out they weren't the biological parent, only the child's boyfriend or whatever! It was hard to believe that they got together in the first place. With the taxi.. he just seemed way too upset, rude, annoyed, and not interested in her. I do not see how they got together... way too far-fetched.

Agreed. I can't believe she actually got upset about that. I mean look, if they decided as a couple to adopt kids, or if he had been in her life for years raising those kids as his own, and he said that, then of course she would have the right to be upset.

But they'd only been together for a couple of months and he is expected to consider himself the father of her children??? That's insane!

It's not like they couldn't have just dated. Just because she was having children doesn't mean that dating means= get married, move in and raise children together.

I always thought that too. She shouldn't have freaked out so much. I guess they just thought of a climax for this movie to have but it didn't really work. I like this movie but it just looks like they thought of things just to make the movie go together. But I think that why she was so upset is because if he said that, then maybe he was thinking it and she figured after a while, it was going to get to him about not being their father and he would leave. That's what I always took from it but she definitely over-reacted.

i didnt hear the comment at all.. been going back and forth in and out what was the comment??

reply

I think she overreacted as well. She was looking for a reason to get him to leave because she probably thought he might leave anyways.
