Anyone else hoping Jason would reveal what happened? (Spoiler)

When Jason communicates through George in the hotel room, I was really hoping he would reveal about being chased by those vermin and that it would lead to some kind of investigation and throw them in jail for manslaughter or something. Was anyone else hoping/expecting this?
