Jesus was probably Buddhist ...if he even existed

Lets say he did exist, against ZERO evidence and common sense, but for fun, lets say that someone who fits the description did exist 2000yrs ago. Its likely that he'd travelled to India and taken on the teachings of Buddhism.

In fact much of Jesus teachings were straight rip offs from Buddhism. The bible creators saw this and did a mash up between Old Testament and Buddhist teachings.

Disagree, and that's coming from someone who isn't a Christian and likes Buddhist teachings.

For what it is worth, I don't actually think Jesus was necessarily fiction. I think there may have been a man (who wasn't white because of where he was born!) who believed what he was saying. I think "Jesus" was just a regular guy who had some ideas on religion.

I'd disagree on Jesus' teachings being a rip off from Buddhism. Buddhism has less room for bigotry!

I don't know if Jesus was actually a bigot (if he existed), but pretty much everyone who wrote about him sure was. He sounds like he was just a social activist who loved the poor and hated the rich to me. Then some idiots had the idea to use his name as a control device like what always happens, for example Obama using MLK's bible for his 2nd inauguration. Opportunists will always use the popularity of someone else, no matter how opposing their views.
