Doctor Strange's lack of basic knowledge in his field

While performing a surgery, the surgeon needs to keep his hand clean, in order to ensure the safety of the patient. To do so, the surgeons wash their hands after getting fully ready. So, they put on their gear, including the mask, and then wash their hands. But Strange does the opposite.

At the very beginning of the movie, Strange has to perform a brain surgery. But, instead of putting on the mask and then washing the hands, he first washes the hands and then wears the mask. This leaves his hands open to contamination.

Can you imagine that Drs used to never wash their hands? They would work with cadavers and then transfer to pregnant mothers and people were dying from it especially the babies. One of the men who discovered germs and such "childbed fever" was Ignaz Semmelweis and they drove him into a mental institution because they wouldn't listen to what he was right about all along.

It's very similar to the previous post about the person warning about violence in movies and how it is making children insane. Lots of people are fed up with the violence in movies but the right wing political correctness that controls hollywood keeps forcing it down our throats.
