Missing the screaming girl. Main problem people overlook.

The characters in this movie act as if they have no passion for their circumstance! Look. I get that it is a lighthearted action film. And depp is going to do his thing he does. That's all fine. Actually that's the best part sadly. The problem is the OTHER CHaRACTERS did not seem SINCERE EITHER!!! How did tonto come off as the most sincere?!?!? This is horrid writing. Why didn't the female lead scream and cry for ranger to save her? Her character was not sincere at all whatsoever?!?! The girl Keira knightly was about a million times more animated than her in pirates, and it's a good thing because when you have an action adventure you need animated women to be rescued from danger. There was absolutely no tension in this movie because every character was treated like a joke. The brother? He acted like he was just pulled off the street to read lines?!?!?! Just horrid writing. And acting.

In case you haven't realized, women were NOT damsels in distress in the Old West.

This response is Probly why they made the mistake they made. Are you lecturing me on reality or the Disney film we watched. Because this was not unforgiven starring Clint Eastwood. Granted in that there should be no damsel in distress. But if you want to know why THIS film didn't work it's because there was no tension. A damsel in distress, tied to the train tracks, could have created tension. Like pirates of the carribean did.
