Denise has so many haters because she is so beautiful

People say it's about other things -- her parenting, or what she says in the media about Charlie, or her relationship with Sambora -- but what really makes people despise and resent Denise Richards is that she is a *stunningly* beautiful woman. So people POUNCE on any flaw in her character and wave it around as proof that she's a lowly human like the rest of us. 99% of her detractors are women, and the reason is primarily jealousy IMO. Most women would be much more forgiving of a *less beautiful* woman who made the same mistakes that Denise has made over the last few years. (and btw, i am a 32 year old caucasian woman...)

This reminds me when Usenet was around...whenever a certain poster would come to defend a celeb that people talked negative about nine out of ten times they would come back with "your just jellus" - spelled out just like that. So it became an ongoing joke for years that whenever someone would make fun of a celeb who certainly deserved it, it was a race for someone to shoot back with "oh yeah?? Well, YOUR JUST JELLUS!" LOL! Oh Lord, good times, good times...

In the last episode, Matt Lauer and Larry King were definitely in attack-mode when they interviewed Denise. Yet, I saw Matt Lauer on TV yesterday morning interviewing Pamela Anderson and, in that interview, Matt Lauer had a totally different personality. When he was interviewing Pam Anderson, he acted like he was in love with her. Pam Anderson is an extrovert while Denise Richards is more of an introvert, but that's no reason for Matt Lauer and Larry King to be so hostile. Or maybe it is... Maybe it was just a clash of personalities. Once, I saw Regis Philbin being hostile to sweet Alexis Bledel of the Gilmore Girls on Live with Regis and Kelly. Regis didn't seem to understand or appreciate Alexis Bledel's quiet manner.

I think Matt appreciates honesty in a person and even though Pam is in-your-face, out-there - she's very honest about her life and admits her screw-ups.

Maybe if Matt Lauer knew that Denise Richards though he was cute he wouldn't have been so hostile. In the case of the Pamela Anderson interview, Matt Lauer mentioned that he had interviewed her many times before, and it was clear they were already friendly.

I think most hate her for personality. Well that's my reason, anyway.

Rarely has a reality TV subject been so uncharismatic, bitchy yet boring too. There is something just really unlikeable about her.

OP here, and I stand by the statement. Even at 37 years old her face is absolutely stunning (though from the side she is starting to get some slight jowls). On a personality level, I like her but I admit she can be rather judgemental sometimes.

Hmmm...I was going to respond in an intelligent, reasoned way, but I have serious doubts that someone who has a bra size in his screen-name would even be able to keep up. And, I have no "credibility"??? What the hell does that word mean in this context? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it's not a matter of "credibility."

Sorry people, I'm with the OP on this one.

1) Sure, Denise isn't as hot as she was 11 years ago but she is still smoking hot!

2) As far "If you act inappropriate you will be rewarded"! Since Denise has been fiercely criticized for said behavior I don't see any reward here.

Hmmm...after a quick glance at some of your past posts, it's clear that you are preoccupied with breasts, stripping, and "sluts" (your word, not mine). So I'm going to stay with my original assumption that you put a breast reference in your username. It's not a crime, no need to get all defensive about it (like those millions of idiots who put "69" somewhere in there user-name, and then when you call them on it they're like 'Hehe well, er that was actually the date my dog died: on June 9...rest in peace, Fido.' *sniffle* Oh puhleeeze...)

If the impression that I gave with my original post was that people dislike Denise SIMPLY because she's a beautiful woman -- then I'm sorry, and I'd like to modify that: I think they find it much harder to forgive Denise her past mistakes because A) she is physically gorgeous, and B) she has a reserve to her personality that people interpret as cold or robotic. For example Tori Spelling stole someone's man, but people don't hold it against her like they do Denise because Tori comes across as more cutesy and accessible, and Tori is not a beautiful sex symbol like Denise. Denise's questionable actions are things that people would find it in their heart to forgive other women for...but not Denise, and I think it is for the reasons I just stated. This thread is hilarious!! To assume that someone that has an alpha numeric combination in their name refers to their bra size is classic!!

I'll have to voice my humble opinion if I may without getting my head bitten off...I'm neutral so I see both sides.
I think Denise IS a beautiful woman, but she DOES need to clean up her mouth...especially in front of her children as they emulate adults around them. I liked last season when her father made her donate a pair of shoes for every foul word she used. I think what tarnished her with a lot of people is when she dated Sambora, being that he was her friend's, ex-friend's (whatever story you believe) estranged husband. She's not the first woman to do that and will not be the last. I like her show and try and catch it if I'm awake....
For a 38 year-old woman she looks very good!! I see 20-something year olds who look twice her age!

To criticize Denise Richards because she is so beautiful and because there are 20-something actresses in Hollywood who look twice her age is just plain wrong.
