Really Decent Little Film
glad i rented this one, great acting all around and kept my interest, bit creepy
curious what others thought..
I agree it was a interesting movie. As I was watching it I was wondering why a escape convict was hiding in a teenage girls closet in his underwear and not trying to have sex with her. The twist at the end with the father explained a lot. I wish the film had set it up more to see how he got in her closet.
Didn't really get it. Didn't like it much at all.

Could be she met him at the supermarket. I was really curious too why the guy was not trying to have sex with the girl. I really liked the film, in terms of film quality it is very good. A lot of people rated it low because they did not get it which I think is unfair. I do wish the ending was explained a little bit more, just a little.
Basically the old dad wanted to keep tabs on his daughter and his wife, and he also wanted revenge on his wife in a light way because she had cheated on him. At the end while the dad is driving Ryan/Paul home he says "maybe we went to far" and the supposed ex con "that's what you wanted right". It is my assumption that the dad instructed the guy not to have sex with his daughter, and it is also likely that the guy is not a ex con at all.

Well, you have to consider that the con had been in prison for a unknown amount of time. Could have been a long time. And when you have been away from the female form for so long and you have a pretty girl strutting around in her underwear trying to impress you, it is hard to believe you would not have desires. Then again, that is to say that he really was a prison escapee at all.

I don't really think you can appropriately tie the term "twist" into personal perception. You can obviously see it coming, but that hardly makes it any less deserving to be called a "twist" because of it.

Oh, my gosh, its been four years!
He wasn't intimate with the daughter but in the middle of the night, she crawled in bed with him and he kissed her on her neck/ear. That was inappropriate and surely misleading to her.
