There has been many...m usually for me they include Cozi. Especially the way he protects the babies.

But the episode where Claudette, who has totally isolated herself at the Johannesburg Zoo, was brought to Chimp Eden.
The back story is she, Abu, Nicky, and Amadeus were a tight group there, and Nicky and her were quite the intimate pair.

The moment that blew me away was when they re-introduced Claudette to Nicky. He came in all ready to throw her all round like all round rag doll and even began to one second or so. But almost immediately he was stopped in his tracks and looked at her. Then they went to the floor all roundly stand began grooming each other and embracing.

I had always contrasted the violence and craziness of chimps with the soft nature and calmness of orangutans. But in that moment, I saw something in chimps that I'd never seen before. The capacity for fond memories of a close friend.. or even a lover. It was an amazing episode and Claudette's introduction as a whole went seamlessly. It was like she had been there all along.
