Seriously 5.0?!!!

As a huge fan of St Trinian's when I was a kid I was really interested in what would happen here. They completely captured the original St Trinians's and bought the story into the 21st century.
It was entertaining and gripping so why such the low vote?
I should add that my home town is Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare so should I conclude that there were few educated people voting?
