set reports

so tell us how your set experience was? I know they are shooting in Shelby for the next couple of weeks.

I had a blast on set. It was a long day, but that's not unexpected. I thought all the crew was extremely nice. It was amazing to meet the author of the book. He's on set just watching. He's excited to see his book come to life.

We just got back into town from the "picnic" scene with the big cross. I won't tell what happens. But it is based off page 52 in the book. It was a long day (12pm-1am), but well worth it to be there to see this scene in person. Addy Miller was one of the picnickers. She had a blast, but they did get cold as the night rolled in - but she said she would do it again!! Rick Schroder (Silver Spoons, NYPD Blue)is in this film, I am surprised he isn't listed as a member of the cast yet. I guess IMDb hasn't added him yet. (He is Timothy Tyson's Daddy in the film). So we saw a few of his scenes being filmed too.

My little girls enjoyed the day as well, and for us that was the best set food we have ever had in our lives!!!! (basically the best steak I have ever had anywhere!) My 6 yr old was terribly upset to leave set that night, I literally had to drag her to the set van. We left a little early because someone told us we could since the 4yr old was sleeping. I have a picture of Addy for you! I'll send it private.
