What's Up ? When is our movie coming out ?

Anybody know the latest on the release date ?
This was my first film I work on and all the people I told about the movie keep asking me, whats up ?
How are all the local extras doing ? Any leads on any new movies coming to our area .I'm glad I didn't quit my day job. Tough way to make a living . But it is pretty cool to be part of a powerful film like this one.
If and when it opens here in Charlotte maybe we can get together at the first showing.
Until then keep the faith.

i worked on this too last year and jeb the director came in to our company a few times to review the visual effects for the film. Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend the crew screening, but a few of my coworkers who i consider harsh critics because they are the type of people that have slammed previous films we've worked on, even films i have liked , came back saying that it was an unbelievably good film and they kept saying things like "from the start it's just riveting and it's an important piece of film making.' This is coming from 50 year old hollywood veterans who just do their job as a job, they don't even care about films, so a good review from them, is saying something. I just hope it comes out soon so i can see my work on the screen. I did a bunch of special effects composites for a fire sequence and am really proud of the work, and I just hope it get's seen.

I have not seen any commercial advertisements about the movie. I wonder what is taking it so long. I thought it was suppose to come out in February.??

Movies can sometimes take up to a year or two to be released, or less, depending on certain things.

Thanks for the up-date...Great!

I hope they don't change their mind again. It looks like a good cast and Nate Parker is one of my favorite actors.

Afrikahvenus, I love your quote from the great Ossie Davis!

I understand that the film was submitted to Sundance and other independent film festivals who didn't think it was right for their distribution network (fools, I say!). An independent distributor who knows what he's doing is now going to handle that part, and I hope will do Blood justice.

The movie is supposed to be released in mid-February 2010, in eighteen cities. It turned out very, VERY well. Y'all are going to love it!

I hope so!
