I believe its Donzaleigh Abernathy. She is probably best known for the Lifetime series Any Day Now. She is also the daughter of the late activist, Rev. Ralph Abernathy.

Well, I checked and Donna isn't listed or credited for this movie. I believe the actress I'm talking about played in Planet of the Apes with Mark W. I couldn't find her their either. This is driving me crazy! Well...not really.

Wait, you mean the woman who played Nate Parker's character's mother right? If you're referring to her then the actress is Donna Biscoe, it's in the movie credits. I wasn't aware that she was in Planet of the Apes. Perhaps we are talking about two different characters?
