I'm sure he had his reasons, but when he covered Yuuki's mouth when he was turning her. I mean he could've warned her and told her not to scream, in previous espisodes she was willing to turn in a vampire. So I don't know, perhaps I'm giving it too much thought but it seemed like a rape scene to me Anyhow, I love the show, love the manga, love the plot and love Zero.

i think i read somewhere that the two werent really related, but rather that kaname was kind of adopted into yuuki's family. im not a 100% sure on that though, i'll have to check it out again.
but really though kaname and yuuki arent the only brother/sister marriage in the anime. and also if you look through out history, brother/sister pairings arent uncommon, specially in royal families. it was a way of keeping the bloodline "pure"

shareI watched Vampire Knight and Vampire Knight Guilty and read the manga...they ARE brother and sister. Their parents were brother and sister. (In the manga it even shows scenes from the past were they are picking on each other and then being sweet and almost romantic) Yeah, that's blood for ya ;) I thought Kaname was shady until I finished Guilty, but he's not really. In some ways I prefer Zero, but he lacks self control in Yuuki's case. He has fed on her over and over again, and could have accidentally killed her while she was human. Kaname on the other hand waited 10 years for her to be ready. I think that shows a lot of character there.

I asumed he was adopted into the family and raised that way but then again he was a pure blood. Also I was a little confused if I remember correctly there was something said about how the Kuran family coudn't have a daughter, or they shouldn't have had a daughter and why did they keep her hidden?
