Who else felt disappointed at the end? (SPOILERS)

Well, it was a good ending but...

Although Yuuki is a vampire, it is sure different for her to stay with Kaname as his brother//lover. But.... She has been human for such a long time, it is unsettling to see her human side disappearing and her being so cheerful about it. After all, she has more memories as a human than as a vampire.

And I did feel bad for Zero.

And for the plainess of the Academy, now when everyone left, and there are only day students left.

So true. I just finished ep 13. I'm totally bummed about the ending.
I wanted Yuuki and Zero to end up together but her going off w/Kaname felt like "duty" even though she said it wasn't.

Yup, I felt disappointed at the end as well. As soon as the credits rolled on the last episode I said, out loud, "Well that sucked." lol! I was SO sure that Zero and Yuki were going to end up together.

I agree, I actually did a facepalm during the last scenes. Bad, sloppy ending imo.

The manga version of the battle at Cross Academy was much more alternatly thrilling and heathbreaking.
Kaien Cross kills the evil President of the Vampire Hunter's Society. Zero and Yuki kiss! (YAY!)
Yuki breaks down about Zero declaring that he will kill her the next time they meet.
It's all a lot more tragic and gorgeously rendered - and there's also more Zero/Yuki childhood memories that are really sweet that were left out, like Yuki helping him to fall asleep (after he'd had a nightmare - timeframe is likely shortly after he'd been taken in by Kaien Cross) by gently stroking his hair, until he calms down
Anyhoo...I was just all around disappointed to learn that Yuki was a vampire, altogether! I didn't want her to be one! It was a game-changer that I wasn't expecting at all, and it totally changed her and Zero's relationship (which I was heavily gunning for) and now they barely spend any time together, so that totally sucks (and not in the good way - hee).
Anyhoo, I'm glad that there is an anime, and hope that they continue with it, as soon as there's enough manga chapters to warrant a 3rd series. It's different in many ways from the mangas, but still very, very good as far as anime's go (or at least the one's I'm familiar with).

Yeah... the ending was very wth... It didn't make sense for Yuki to just up and leave her normal life. Plus to be the lover of her brother?! Someone she doesn't even really get or know too. It was all to weird imo...
