When Ned looked at Toni's name tag and placed it by the speedometer, did that mean that he's trying to get her back? I hope not because she was whiny and annoying.

That's the impression I got, personally. I thought that he'd just look at it, scoff, and chuck it out the window. But apparently, he didn't... Silly man...

Not my take. He was at ease with her being gone. That doesn't mean he had to forget the moments they shared together.

He's come to terms with his past and understands his "weakness". He's laughing at himself, he doesn't want to get back with Toni.
