In both field and indoor lacrosse they wear pads and helmets... what sport were the girls playing in this? Thats definitely not lacrosse...

it may look fun to you but since seeing the movie have you gone out of your way to see it played since? and looking fun to play and watching it being played are two different things. to each their own. i personally like to watch indoor box lacrosse.

I don't watch any pro team sports on television. I just mean Lacrosse certainly looks no less interesting than any other team sport. I play soccer and hockey and volley ball and water polo.

in relation to men's lacrosse (field and box) there is absolutely no action, the players seem to be playing in slow motion. the reasons are obvious to any fan of the game, my mistake may have been in thinking that anyone watching this would be familiar with the game of lacrosse. i could go on about the equipment restrictions and the fundamental differences between the men's and the women's game, but i won't. among the originators of this sport the game has religious connotations. this is a game that was played as an alternative to warfare, not figuratively, but literally. in short it's as boring as watching paint dry. how popular would mixed martial arts be if the contestants were only allowed to hit each other with pillows?

Only men's lacrosse has pads and helmets.
shareIts women's lacrosse. Only the men use helmets and pads. Women's lacrosse is no body contact. Even checking with a stick has rules. Also they don't get a deep pocket like the guys. The shaft of a women's stick is also skinnier.
