I was a little worried about this film after reading about the plot and casting, but after watching the special on RTL I have confidence that this will be another great and hilarious Oliehoek film. Don't think it'll match Vet hard though- Paul de Leeuw is funny, but Jack Wouterse just plain rules. There's Najib Amhali to consider, though....

I don't have that much confidence. So far all the footage I have seen of this picture contains images of Paul de Leeuw gasping and looking suprised. To me this is a sign that a movie is just not that funny.
I love Paul de Leeuw as a comedian but so far he hasn't convinced me yet as an actor. Besides, seems like he is playing both the main 'hero' and 'villain' of the movie, which gives me too much an Austin Powers sort of feeling and I doubt it will work out well for the movie.
Maybe I would still watch it if it had Jack Wouterse in the main lead instead but now I'll be waiting first to hear and read what the critics have to say about this movie.
Ik ga maar over op Nederlands, kan me niet voorstellen dat iemand hier echt engels is. Het lijkt me een kneus van een film. De trailer is droevig, en volgens de eerste recensies is het eigenlijk allemaal nog veel erger. Dit zal weer een flinke terugslag zijn voor een nederlandse filmindustrie die net lekker bezig was dit seizoen

Oliehoek is just like Dick Maas. Maas used to make decent movies but that is over now.

Eh... Tim Oliehoek IS a young and talented director.
If you have seen the movie (Spion van Oranje) you would have been convinced by his bold and convincing direction style of action-sequences.
Comedy isn't his forte but he should be making a REAL spy-movie à la Bourne / Bond.
'Amsterdamned Revisited' or something along those lines.

De eerste keer dat ik Spion van Oranje zag viel ik er midden in.
Ik werk in een bios.....
En ik was bij het stukje dat Fransois op de grond zat en a la Carice 'Houd het dan nooit op' riep...
Op dat moment ging mijn hand tegen m'n hoofd en zat ik hoofdschuddend te kijken.... Verschrikkelijk. Te erg...
Toen ik hem een andere keer vanaf het begin keek leek het begin me nog wel goed. Maar al snel werd het overgenomen door te foute grappen.
Vet Hard was echt heel leuk. Maar Spion is echt veel te ver gegaan dat het niet meer grappig is. Niet te ver als ik dit kan niet maar de humor te ver rekken dat het echt niet meer leuk is.
Elke keer dat die worst op Jort's kop land en mensen lachen wil ik echt roepen wat er nou zo grappig aan is. Hij is helemaal fout.
Echt zonde van een film die heel leuk had kunnen zijn.
