This is the story of the "Dunderhead" Family: mother (Dukakis), son (Osment), and daughter (Brie): dysfunctional family misfits and their misdirected trek to escape to Canada that ends up landing them off-course in Mexico. Who knew SOUTH was the new NORTH? Their exodus from Montana starts with a "Dick Chaney-like" shooting. Then this becomes a "Grapes of Wrath" odyssey in a FORD Falcon. Due to their own acts of lunacy they attract police attention and are soon wanted in each state they pass through. A Family Adventure gone SOUTH (figuratively and literally).
