Anyone else impressed by the voice-over intro?

I actually thought this was going to be a smart action movie (albeit with the usual Hollywood touches) when I saw the introduction.

Yes, it was in a way the usual good-guy-bad-guy dichotomy (in the way these movies are done); however I thought they would never bother putting anything political into a movie that was going to be all-out-action.

OK so the next hour and a half proved me completely wrong and it descended into the usual drivel. But I for one found the intro suprisingly neat - and therefore totally out of place with the rest of the movie.

YMMV

PS: I haven't seen the other two BEL movies - and as soon as I found out Owen Wilson was in the 1st; don't wish to.

You chose not to watch an intelligent, well-scripted and generally well received a-list action flick because it stars Owen Wilson, despite the odd thousand other hard-working and genuine people involved in the film making process, whereas you were more than happy, and actually overly impressed at first, to watch a WCW tongue-in-cheek anti-tribute and utterly unrelated cheesy action movie starting none other than the men who make their day money by back flipping onto each other's heads in underpants and body grease?

Buddy, I think you've got your priorities mixed up.

Go to the loo, 'cause all the *beep*'s coming out your mouth instead of your a-hole...
