Panama was telling Resto that he was going to fix him up after he himself was good to go. Obviously Panama felt slightly responsible about the way Resto’s life turned out but was going to take it to the grave.
He's full of it. Panama wwas standing there in all that gold ( I think, lol), talking about bringing Luis up when he gets back on his feet. Doesn't seem to me he's ever fallen off. I feel sorry for Resto. What he did was wrong, and karma has a way of coming back on you, I just hate that he never got his life back on track.
You feel sorry for Resto? If you box, you can tell what legitimate gloves are. I could have been able to tell and I am not a pro, or even somebody who has had many unsanctioned fights. Resto is doing very, very well compared to Billy Collins. This guy was not going anywhere and he destroyed a boxer who could have made millions of dollars (and lived 50 or more years). This would be no better than if a journeyman minor league pitcher got paid to deliberately hit a first round rookie pick in the face. It is just horrible. It is unclear how many other times this may have happened as well.
I have read Resto admitting to knowingly having his knuckles plastered on at least two other occasions--and that is what he's willing to admit. Resto's a cheat, he deserves no pity.
