Daring movie..

I happened to just watch this on "On Demand" on a whim, because I needed something to watch while I ran on the treadmill. They go places in this that a normal mainstream movie, even the ones sold as 'raunchy comedies', don't dare to go. I feel a little ashamed of myself that after watching porn for years, I much knew everything they referenced in this movie including the big production at the end which I won't spoil.

It's actually a good movie, a little sad at times despite the comedic overtones. I was actually fooled into thinking it was a real documentary for the first 10 minutes or so.. wasn't until they showed the 'home movies' of his ex-wife that I realized "okay, that's too good quality of film for whats supposed to be a home movie" and of course, as the plot got more and more zany it became obvious it wasn't real, but it doesn't matter, the characters are the kind of people you'd actually expect to run into in LA, and they have a few real porn star cameos.

Ultimately, despite being funny it's also a sobering reminder that porn addiction is a real thing and CAN ruin relationships if you let it become an obsession. Like everything else, moderation is the key.
