So every Rambo movie is like this, eh?

I liked it a lot, a good old revenge drama filled with ingenious inventive deathtraps on the part of the grizzled war hero avenging his dead... niece?

I saw parts of First Blood years ago and thought it was dull, but I've since seen clips of Stallone going full Rambo in clips in other movies like Gremlins 2, and still others where he makes literal mincemeat out of enemy soldiers with a large calibre machinegun - very gory indeed!

Maybe I ought to see the rest of the movies, now Stallone has made his last Rambo movie at 73(!!!)?

First Blood dull? are you kidding me , its a great film , one of his best , you sure you wernt watching it 2?

I think I was a teenager when I saw part of it, and I wasn't paying full attention. I'm 47 in a few days.

If you want to watch the actual good entries, watch First Blood and Rambo 2008 (ideally the 2010 Extended Cut). Skip II and II. Only people nostalgic for the 80s cheesy action movies like those....

I can see kids of today finding First Blood pretty damn dull. There's quite a bit of talking, it's a very murky film, hard to make out the action. It's much more of a film in the traditional sense. You really gotta pay attention to the dialog and performances to get the most out of it. If you're looking for some Contra level action, you should definitely skip right to the sequels.
