I actually totally agree with the reviewer. I mean the movie is awful. The first hour nothing is happening, then we get fifteen minutes of carnage and a montage of Rambo's greatest hits.
I mean common the movie was so un-Rambo-like it's not even funny. He is followed by the journalist and doesn't notice??? (like Rambo would not notice being followed). He walks into the bad guys compound without planning or preparing? Seriously, that is so implausible for the character.
What's even more frustrating is that there is no character development. I mean for a movie about Rambo you would think they would maybe show how he developed. Instead, we get these flashes of PTSD that have no bearing whatsoever on the plot. The whole tunnel system has no use except to make the ending plausible and honesty since when is Rambo such a chatty betty??? The beauty of the character always was that he didn't talk, that's what made the character plausible and unique.
This whole movie is really awful and I really hope they come back with another one if only give John Rambo an honorable send-off.
🙄🙄🙄🙄......also Stallone said he's not opposed to doing another based on this ones box office. I dont know why everyone thinks this is the last ....🙄🙄🙄

shareThat is the only point of the review I don't agree with. I have read many reviews for the movie and none of them mentioned a possible political motive. I think Stallone needed some bad guys and Russians or Germans weren't plausible so he chose Mexicans.

shareIndeed. The reviewer is racist for seeing all Mexicans as villains in a film where the Mexican characters are a mixture of good (almost angelic in the case of the girl) and evil. Complete projection.
shareReconnaissance has been a major part of every Rambo movie. Distressing to hear they missed that.
