Will this be his last action movie?

Unfortunately I think it might. His career was already fading by the late 90's. In 2000 he had his last theatrical release as a lead man with Get Carter and it bombed, then for the next several years he made a string of some very bad straight to video movies. In 2006 he revived his career with Rocky Balboa. A good year later he did Rambo, then he did Expendables, Bullet to the Head, and Escape Plan, and then he played Rocky again in Creed. Rocky and Rambo are his iconic roles, but now with Last Blood and the end of Rambo he will need something fresh. Expendables was popular not just because of Stallone, but him and lots of other action stars coming together and creating a nostalgia effect. Basically his career has been thriving off it's past. Escape Plan and Bullet to the Head were decent and original but not terribly popular. I almost forgot he made a comedy where he boxed Robert De Niro. It was basically just an excuse for him to get back in the ring again. Funny movie though! Outside of his iconic roles is there still a big demand for Sylvester Stallone? I'd personally like to see him keep playing the part of the action hero as long as he is physically capable of it.

I think it's time for him to change things up and play supporting roles as a lead character's father or grandfather now. He did that a little with the Creed movies, but the shadow of Rocky looms large over those pictures.

I hope not, he's one of the few left still making good action movies.
