It's been in development hell for so long, the character hasn't been properly developed in other media in years, it sounds like a movie nobody wants to make.

I doubt it. Spawn was kind of a niche '90s character back when Image was big. Now a reboot could revive some interest. But it could also go very wrong like the Hellboy reboot.

Jason Blum said it will come out in two years. I guess we'll see soon enough.
