We're Supposed to Believe Forest Whitaker got Zoe Saldana?

Forget everything else you guys have been saying. Of all the unrealistic things in the movie, this one takes the cake!

No doubt. My girlfriend and I were convinced they were father/daughter and she was impregnated by some of screen hookup. Terrible, terrible movie.

Well ain't this place a geographical oddity, two weeks from everywhere!

This movie sucked. 3/10 at best.

She like most women felt like she needed to be taken care of and in a small town like that being head police officer carries a lot of weight and decent salary compared to factory workers. Also as a young black woman she probably looked up a bit to an older black man in a position of authority. You could see her regret when bale gets out and finds her, its the fact she got pregnant that she stuck with the ape.

I thought it was hard to believe too, almost as much as Lena never visiting Russell in prison during his incarceration. The film initially sets up the scenario that they are in a very close, loving relationship. Then wants us to believe Lena immediately dumps Russell because he goes to prison and never visits him. And then we he gets out, she's very sorry for him. All, rather contrived and uneven IMO!🐭

Yeah I quite enjoyed the movie for what it was but this part of the storyline was just absurd. I mean seriously, no offence to Forest but he's one ugly dude, and to add to the absurdity he also looks about 25 years older than Zoe. They should have cast a younger and slightly more handsome dude as the cop imo, it was laughable.
