Still America is very rich compared to Europe!

I would rather be poor in America than middle class in Europe. They have it much worse , poorer , more crime, no freedom, living in ramshackled buildings high on crack.

Baze may have been a poor, working class guy, but he had a pretty decent life before he went to prison and his brother got murdered. Good Union job, great girlfriend, decent home. You have a very simplistic view of life in the United States. Even if you're poor, if you have a good head on your shoulders, you can make out pretty all right.

Oh, sorry! I actually read your comment backwards. Oops.

Have you been to Europe?

Affordable health care
Affordable college without student loan debt
Mandatory vacations and sick days
Humane, civilized, respectful police
Sane laws regarding drugs and sex (no irrational moral panics like we have here)

The poor in Europe live better than the upper middle class in America in many ways. I have a college degree and work for a fortune 500 company, and a fry cook in France or Germany has benefits I will never get (health care that can't be taken away or drive you bankrupt, more vacation days, no student loans, etc).

I've met people who earned 6 figures in America who didn't get the benefits you get as a birthright in western Europe.

I can't tell if you are trolling or not.

Dental care in England is a joke compared to the States.

reply

Pretty big difference between different countries within Europe

reply

I can't think of any european country I wouldn't prefer to be poor instead of being poor in United-States, not to say I'd rather be middle class anywhere in Europe instead of being poor in United-States. I'm really curious why you're thinking it's so great to be poor in United-States.

reply

America is the most relevant country in the world.America is elite, America is a zeitgeist touchstone.

reply

Beautiful. Just stay there, please.

reply

There's economical unity in Europe but no social unity.

reply

You would rather but you're not because you were probably a sheltered middle-class teenage punk when you wrote this 5 years ago and if you're lucky you're in college fingering drunk girls

You also have never been to Europe
