what was the deal...

with the piano that was tossed to the ground? do they explain it and i somehow missed it?

I wondered also since it took 8 men to carry in the new one, and in any event, what was the point of it even?

I figured she got frustrated not being able to write music for her upcoming concert and pushed it out the window. Which would explain why she needed a new window and a new piano. It may have taken 8 men to carry it but it doesn't take 8 men to push it when it has wheels.

I think it is also a very fair representation of the fact that she had no real passion for music. She had no love for it and that is why she used Fausta to create it.

Also... it's also a really daunting sign of privelege. Oh you know... throw a piano out a window, get a new piano, get a new window. That was the woman she was, and that sort of selfishness was what she represented.
