Built in to my DVD player?!

Hey guys, just thought i'd let you all know, if you've got a Pioneer brand DVD player "The Catcher in the Rye" has been built into the internal memory!

To watch it, first make sure the DVD tray is empty, then press the "POWER" button. It should start automatically. Enjoy!

Thanks Pioneer!

If your DVD/Blu-Ray player has any in-built movies, let us know!

Seems as though there is a considerable amount of extra footage on the home DVD player. After the movie there is a great gag reel.

It's like WII Sports, if you give people a free sample with your hardware, people will use it.

I'm having a problem, every time I'm getting into it, about 5 minutes the screen goes black and it says "DVD" with a small disc design and it moves all over the place. I have to start it all over again by turning it off and then on. Is anybody else having this problem?

I had this problem too. I called the DVD player manufacturer of my unit and was told some players just have a trailer. You have to buy the DVD to get the full version. I did, it's definitely worth the price. I would go with the blu-ray Criterion version. Stunning color, and the extras are interesting. I especially like the audio commentary. Has a lot of back story regarding the difficulties of making the film and getting the rights to it.
