What promise didn't Camino fulfill?

At the end of the movie when they are in the funeral car, Camino's aunt says that she died on June 26th as Jose MarĂa (Opus founder) as she had announced. The young opus priest at the car says that Camino has fulfilled every promise she ever made. But Camino's mother suddenly denies that saying she didn't fulfill every promise: "no, not everything, but we will do it for her". What was she referring at???

When she left her school in Madrid in order to go to Pamplona, she promised she'd be back and see her classmates again before the end of the school year. That's why her mother takes her coffin there for farewell.

I'm sorry, I loved the movie, but showing the coffin to a bunch of eleven year old kids was pretty crude thing to do.

This movie is disturbing on so many levels because of the morbid religious manipulation performed by OPUS DEI and you are disturbed ONLY by a COFFIN in front of the kids??? What a way to miss the point...

reply

NO, if you read carefully I was replying to the comment above mine. They talked about the coffin, pretty much in context with the comment. I think you're the one who missed the point.

The promise of meeting with his friends again.

I took that comment by her Mother to mean that the one promise to be yet fulfilled would be that the Opus Dei cult saw (used?) Camino's illness to provide 'evidence' eventually towards a 'cause for beatification' which is the first stage on the road to eventual sainthood in the church. Those processes only come about when evidence is gathered, presented and argued for. These fanatically religious people would gather up 'evidence' to that end after her death.
