It stinks
This film STINKS. And so does its director.

Y yo me sumo ;)
A friend of the family fell in the paws of Opus Dei when going through a depression... first thing she made was trying to "convert" her husband and friends. My mother was extremely sore with her on her attitude and clearly reminded her that she would have to avoid "preaching" if she wanted to preserve the life-long friendship... it was not long before her husband filed for divorce.
So basically, while watching Camino, I felt like glancing, peeking into her life and how, naively, thinking she was saving her family and friends she was just getting deeper and deeper in an obsession that destroyed her happyness that she had before the depression.
The Opus Dei is a sect, and a terribly destructive and dangerous one. It's not even christianism, at all, they use Christ and God as excuse for their own - very material - purpouses, including almost slave workers, and full brain-washing of people. How is it allowed to exist in the Western World just proofs the huge power it has.

Well, well. With all the money you people have you are waiting too much to produce your own version: "Camino, the opus dei edition!" The film that no one wanted you to see!!
Somewhere, someone is replacing a dan brown's photo with a Javier Fesser one for a nice game of darts.
JAJAAJAJAJAJAJAJAA, tío, ahí le has dao...

shareIf you defend the Opus Dei, I think you should argue seriously your reasons- the same way the people in this forum against it had explained their reasons.
If you don´t do it and explain that you don´t have to, then you won´t be a debater but a loud-voiced whose opinion shouldn´t be taken seriously.
If you do it, you can convince people why they do have the incorrect vision of Opus Dei; and even if they don´t share your opinion, they´ll respect you.
I´m not giving any reasons because I don´t want to waste my time arguing with stupid people like you. I´m not a loud-voiced, you twit. MYOB.
Lol. Basically, people that doesn't share your point of view is not worth hearing your reasons. Pure and simple fascism. And inmaturity, that's how 4 years old children behave...
shareMr. Mallofres is a Fascist troll of the worst kind. Just ignore him.
There's no Santa Claus
Listen, Cifra2, Dwight Fry, I´m not a 4-year-old child. I´m a mature guy with a good pair of balls. And I´m a Fascist and I´m proud of it, but I´m not a stupid troll like you both.
And yes, neither of you two is worthy of my time.
Go to blazes !!! ABAJO "CAMINO" !!! VIVA EL OPUS DEI !!!
Have you at least seen the movie?
There's no Santa Claus
YES.
Then you'll have to agree at least with two things:
1.-It describes life in an Opus Dei center very much accurately,
and
2.-It is not anti-spiritual or anti-religious, just anti-bigotry and anti-closed-mindedness (but I doubt a closed-minded bigot would notice this).
There's no Santa Claus
You haven´t got the foggiest idea about life in an Opus Dei centre.
And if being an Opus defender or not liking this stinking movie is being a closed-minded or narrow-minded bigot, well, it´s OK by me. I prefer it to being an anti-Opus moron.
hey man, do they allow you in the Opus to post in the internet forums? do they even allow you to use the internet?
they have kicked you away for sure.. haha
Amen
I´m not and I have never been a member of the Opus, you stupid twit. But unlike you, the Opus deserves all my respect. Go to blazes!
Totally agreed.
I'z gots a wif an' kiddiez, killz 'em instad.
The Opus Dei guy's reply at the start of the thread stinks, but so does the movie. As for the "Viva...", he should go and post on the Real Madrid forum on the Marca comic site. Fascist idiot!

off topic (by the way, Camino is a masterpiece)
let's clarify this here and now. The fact Real Madrid has the Ultras Sur and people from the right is really friendly with the club disguises the real truth of who are the "fascist" teams in Spain.
- I'm really tired of hearing xenophobic and Franco-nostalgics saying they're "Atlético de Madrid supporters, of course!". For people that has forgotten the fact: Atlético was originally the Atlético de Aviación, which was an army-related club. Real Madrid's Chamartín was a WORKING CLASS neighbourhood and that's how it originated. It was Franco and part of the extreme right that wanted to patronize its success in the European competitions in the 50's and 60's, to Europe's horror ('cause nobody in Europe wanted to see any spanish team winning any competition at that time). So, Real Madrid is the less "fascist friendly" club out of the two. Or do I have to compare Jesus Gil's xenophobic manners with ANY president of Real Madrid. Repeat 1,000 times a lie, and then it becomes "truth".
- The other one using fascist behaviour is FC Barcelona. And worst of it all, it is how continuosly play politics and - lived in Catalonia - if you aren't out as a "culé", social pressure is that you are "betraying" or you are a "Español". The guys got away with murder, with actually spanish public TV (and of course catalonian public TV) giving them money and screen time continuously, and still play "victim" and spreading a xenophobic message ("spaniards repress us") continuously. The last proof of this, this very same weekend, when in the match against Racing de Santander, there were continuous insults against a 19 years old player that has already signed a contract with Real Madrid for next years. Even one Barcelona player tried to injure him and "nobody saw anything". Of course the anti-violence committee will play blind once more with this team's behaviour. Has the Camp Nou ever been closed for violence in the last 30 years? 'cause the Bernabeu has.
Firstly, congratulations on your English, as you managed to make your point, regardless of your intermediate level. However, I take issue with your glorification of Real Madrid, since any observer can see that their fans are mainly xenophobic, intolerant, wannabe-rich kids with a love of bull silhouettes and having "Cara al Sol" (the fascist anthem) on their mobiles.
This, of course, has nothing to do do with the fact that "Camino" needs putting up against the wall and un-shot. Filmwise.

Be seeing you
I'm not glorifying Real Madrid. You should actually re-read what I wrote.
I'm talking that Atlético and Barcelona are even worse, at fascism. And of course, they're both "taboo".
Filmwise, Camino is a masterpiece in so many ways... in so many levels. Fesser is an unique filmmaker, in the line of Tarantino, Burton, Almodovar, Fellini, Buñuel... he has his own universe and style and handles it to perfection. But well, that's my opinion (it's a special movie in the same sense as, say, Fantastic Mr. Fox)
