Beauty is a cruel master

I just googled images of the real Camino and, well, she was not very attractive at all, especially compared to the very beautiful girl who plays her. It seems so cruel that probably hardly anyone would want to see this picture if the girl looked as she actually did. And in real life, the same would be true for the sympathies of all but her immediate family and, even then, there may be a difference between the treatment of a beautiful child and a plain one. Sometimes I wonder what God was thinking when he put this thing together.

Welcome to Costco, I love you...

I agree with your larger point about the role of beauty in invoking our sympathies, but I think you are being somewhat disingenuous. The "real" Camino (Alexia González-Barros) might not have been much of a leading lady as an adult, but was still a pretty little girl. And don't you feel weird calling 12 year old girls "beautiful" anyhow? (Yes, that's right, the actress who played Camino was all of 12 years old). Sounds kinda pedo to me.

Idiot. Little girls and even babies can be beautiful. Get the f out of here with your pc bullcrap.
