The ending *spoiler*

I just finished watching this a few minutes ago, but wasn't paying attention to the names. (There were too many supporting characters to keep track of them all.) Anyway, the burglar was the president of the Fisherman's Union. (The guy who accused Joanna of being the burglar.) Scott and his wife made up, and Joanna and Maddie left town at the end. (I don't know if we were told where they were going.)

all i gotta say is that town was a bunch of *beep* who treated joanna like crap -- yeah of course she and that guy had residual feelings but he loved his wife and joanna knew that as well; they coulda had an affair but they chose not to bc they didn't want to hurt the ppl they loved. i really hated that lady who owned the diner and that lady who was running her mouth about the man she knew for 40 yrs (the one who turned out to be the burgular - but in public said joanna was the one stealing from ppl)... even at the end they still treated her like crap - glad she left that crappy gossip town w/her daughter. hell even her sis-n-law was thinking the worse of her, but at least her brother believed her and stood up for her... kelli williams did a great job in this movie, but i always liked her since "the practice"...
