So why did Eddie choose....(spoilers)

After Eddie raped Luli and took her to that cabin, why did he choose to cut and color her hair like that? At first I thought he was just trying to disguise her but at that point he had been driving around with her for a long while and seemed to have no concern that she would be recognized as a runaway someone was looking for. Then I thought maybe he was trying to make her look more like Glenda did but that obviously doesn't make sense because Glenda has long red hair. So why did he choose to change it in the first place and what made him select short dark hair? Did he just like it? I guess it probably doesn't matter much but I'm curious.

Thought maybe if it was in the book there might be some further explanation. Thanks for any help!

You're attempting to find logic in the actions of a rapist pedophile?

reply

Nope. Didn't ask for any logic at all. Just possible reasons that led to that particular choice his character made. Just because it's illogical doesn't mean he did it for no reason whatsoever.

It's a badly written movie.

FACT: She is not a prepubescent child. Prove me wrong.

What rape? When was there any rape?

Scientologists love Narnia, there's plenty of closet space.

When he pulled over to let her out and then followed her out of the truck and chased her into the field. It is implied that he raped her by panning away and hearing her voice trying to distract herself from what was happening with that game she'd been playing. Then later in the cabin he apologized for it and said he knew that was wrong and he'd never do it again.

I haven't read the book yet, only seen the film. My guess would be to make her look less attractive. But also, maybe to disguise her as well as he was keeping her captive.

maybe because, he was trying to make her look like Bonnie... he mentioned, that they are like bonnie&clyde...
