Saw this last night at a special screening. Full house and everyone seemed to be on edge of seats for this rollercoaster ride action flick.
Thought all leads were good in their roles, and it was great to see Mikhail Barisnykov back on the big screen in his small role.
Don't listen to the negatives on this board...it is a good film worth checking out!

shareI really enjoyed it as well. I'd call it more of a thriller than a pure action movie. The cast was more than solid with Kevin Costner actually stealing the show in my opinion. Kenneth Branagh's villain is a bit weak but his performance is stellar and his directing is again top notch. Seeing Russians as the bad guys again takes me back to the good old days of action films! I really hope this springs in to a multi-picture franchise because I was indeed on the edge of my seat from the halfway point on.

I'd agree that it's more of a thriller than a straight action flick.
But good movie... Really enjoyable.. Acting al round was pretty good. Chris Pine goes from strength to strength.
Still the most fun I've had at the cinema so far this year. (At least until Captain America hits in a few weeks.)
yep it is a good film i went an saw it seven times i love chris pine in this film. i think i set a new record for myself i've only ever seen the same film at the most four time' s at the cinama's
but i do see why same people loved it and same did not. it is not a action packed film with blood a guts flying every where or gagets and fast cars and half naked girls etc that todays young audiance go and see. it is formost a thinking persons film and a film that you have to see more than once.
i took my dad to see it and he loved it. so it is more for older people than teens but very good movie. i cannot wait for it come out on DVD i'll be there as soon as it hits stores. i might be able to get it a day before if i go to sanity. they allowed me to buy star trek into darkness a day before it was ment to go onto selves.
