Who should play Greer in the sequel?

if there is one, i say Dennis Haysbert. maybe Tony Todd. sorry for asking, but was Greer black in the books? as far as i know, nothing's etched in stone about that. if he wasn't in the books, a white actor could very easily play him i suppose.

James Earl Jones usually played Greer and he can portray a white guy if needs be, he played Darth Vader.

Ya Kirk-loving Spocksucker!

Greer died at the end of Clear and Present Danger though and this is a new continuity.

I'd agree with you on dennis Haysbert, but I want him to be in the new splinter cell movie.

If they continue with the poor acting, directing, dialog, etc. as was the case in this film, then I hope there isn't a sequel.

Poor acting? I thought that Chris Pine as Jack Ryan was very convincing as a young man who had recovered from serious injuries, which still nagged him a bit 10 years later (Yes, such injuries can do that) and trying to cope in a situation where he was out of his depth...after all, all Harper told him was that he was to be analyst passing on relevant information to the CIA and not doing much more than that. However, it did not quite turn out that way for Jack Ryan, mostly because of Ryan's specialised knowledge of what was needed.

Pine's performance was great - eg nervously dropping his phone after killing the body guard or the subtle shift in his (Jack's) expression and posture when he was in the helicopter and so on and so on.

Once again, people not paying attention, only griping and bitching...Ugh...:((

A rose for remembrance
