I quite liked the film, but I still don't understand how Jack knew that van was the one being driven by Aleksandr. Any one care to clarify?

Write that so it makes sense. Also when he touched the vans no paint came off and there was no indication of paint being recently added

on anopther note the ford econoline kept switching back and forth to a newer model
