Leave Him in the Car

Why did the CIA agents leave Cherevin in the car after they rescue Keira Knightly? Surely the guy who is helping to plan an upcoming terrorist attack would be a a good person to question right before the attack is going to happen.

reply

The cops were coming you hear one of the CIA operatives say it to jack so my guess is they had no time plus they were in Russia a man like victor going missing all of a sudden would be suspicious and would course them more trouble than good.

reply

They wouldn't have to hold him long as the improbable plot to unravel the US economy was within hours of happening.

reply

True but they still had to get back to the states and I doubt they would of been able to take him out of the country it wouldn't make sense.

reply

They can't just grab that guy, what would they do with him, put him on a chartered CIA flight leaving from Moscow airport?

reply

They wouldn't even get him through the air port

reply

Sure they can grab him -- they're the CIA. And for truly "enhanced" interrogation techniques, they don't want to bring him to the US.

reply

It's Russia, not Afghanistan. The likelihood of an uncharted US-bound flight safely leaving Russian airspace is exactly the same as a Russian one leaving in the other direction. Even spies have to obey some rules.

Ya Kirk-loving Spocksucker!

reply

Why not just shoot him, they already killed a bodyguard.

reply

Then there wouldn't be a bad guy untill the end of the film.
basically what people would do in real life doesn't necessarily transfer to screen. Like when the bodyguard was trying to shoot jack the bad guy always misses the hero when in real life jack would of been killed.
It just has to happen to keep the story going untill the end.

I'm not clumsy it's just the floor hates me, the table and chairs are bullies and the walls get in

reply

Damn it movies are not real life, now I'm sad. 😢
