Does anybody else view this film as being a "hangout movie"?

I feel like a lot of the films that Clint has directed are indeed "hangout movies."
This is not a negative criticism by any means; in fact, I feel like this is one of the reasons why Clint's films seem to have that sense of realism to them.
Thoughts?

Yeah it’s just nice hanging out with Clint and the Hmong kids, and his local friends. The character interplay is really entertaining. An easy, fun watch until things take a dark turn, and then it becomes awesome.
