80 year old hanging around with.........

80-year-old all the time hanging around with young boys and girls, teenagers, old women. It's just not normal. What about some neighbours of his own age. He probably gets along better with feeble or feminine types.

Thou shalt not think that any male over the age of 30 that plays with a child that is not their own is a paedophile... Some people are just nice.

"No Silicon Heaven? Preposterous! Where would all the calculators go?"

reply

Friends his age? They've all moved away or died. Mostly died, I would assume. More kids should have the patience and decency of Sue and Thao to spend time with and get to know an older generation.

Boy are you an idiot.

well im nearly 30 and i would love to hang out with most people of clint's generation more so. especially the man himself of course.

i have always myself got a long better with people of the generations before me. can't stand most of the idiots around my age and the younger ones really are trying on the patience. they call it progress or change?

Walt didn't want to hang out with them. They insisted on coming back and coming back despite all his abuse and orders to get off his lawn.

Being Asian, the Hmong have a social tendency toward high respect toward their elders. Eventually their respect and persistence broke Walt down. (and it would have been a pretty stupid movie to watch if it hadn't.)

Good post, bsharporflat.

I can see it now, if Walt had never warmed to them.

Walt: (Talking to Daisy) Those gangbangers just shot up the neighbor's house. But at least they stayed off of my lawn, so I don't care. I'm going to sit here and have another beer. Think they will finally fix up their house now? No, I don't think so either.

When I was a teenager I was in church one Sunday morning and the men's Sunday school class met upstairs in the balcony. I heard them talking and was fascinated by the conversation going on. I asked about joining them and was told no I couldn't because I was too young. I was always interested back then in learning from older adults. I think a lot of kids would like to just hang out with some older adults sometimes. You can see what becoming friends with Walt did for young Thao.
