i thought so too, but then my expectations were pretty low. There were the obvious character action incongruities;
For instance:
-the hotel pervs were reluctant to make a scene, as they were uncomfortable with this from the start; one minute pulling the plug on killing 3 (because of the 3rd person angle) but next thing you know, they were blazing shotguns in the parking lot, with total disregard to the operations of the motel or the 'new business' on the down-low.
-the psycho baddie who got knocked the F out by the hotel pervs; the hotel pervs than set the ground rules after the psycho baddie lured them into his idea, but then the hotel pervs decided from that point on to be spineless sheep
-psycho baddie who shows he's a wanderer from the get-go, only interested in killing decides to venture out and take over the snuff film biz? C'moonnn... he would've packed up and gone to a different state or something...
Lastly, the biggest problem I probably had was the cleanup job this burned up, stabbed in the head psycho baddie had to do in order to not leave a single clue to the police... c'mon, there was huge blood stains on the carpet; everything was in disarray... shell casings all over.
The rest of the implausible items were canceled out by the two perv hotel clerks who were greased.
Overall, not bad, probably better than the 1st... great performances by the some of the cast particularly, the friend of the couple.
I was wondering how the h3ll the writers were going to set things up for the next one, because clearly if the pervs made it through this ordeal, there was no way in h3ll I could see them doing this again. But then you see the burned psycho lives on and he's selling tapes to the trucker.
