The Best DTV Horror Yet!

I was pleasently surprised.

Vacancy 2 First Cut was a solid film, a good enough sequel to the great original.

Roll on Vacancy 3 i say!

I agree that this was a good movie; I actually enjoyed it more than the original. I was also pleasantly surprised at the end because I figured that that there would not be any survivors; thought they just had the survivor taking out as many as she could before she got hers but she ended up surviving.

Like I saw in another thread, I do have to agree with the many that is was stupid for the Christian couple to not call the police and call the neighbor instead. I felt bad because the wife ended up dying trying to be helpful because she was smart; she knew something was not right-but her stupid husband...
Anyway, I would definitely recommend this movie.

One can overlook a mistake by people being terrorized. What you can't overlook is something so ridiculous that it makes no sense. Take this for instance....when the girl is hiding in the water, dark, muddy water, somehow, she manages to hold her breath for an amazing about of time considering she is scared and has been running. Secondly, there was no way she could see while lying in that water! If you want more examples of poor script plot lines that ruin movies, here they are:

*The old black guy said he called the motel folks. Too bad no one was there to answer the phone!

*I tire of "killers" somehow always finding their prey running in the dark woods! They had quite a head start! How did they find them??

*Lastly, the killer had lost a lot of blood, was set on fire and still managed to clean up all traces of blood, the bodies, and cameras/wires. Amazing!! He is in the wrong line of work! He should go work for some of the gangs in Detroit.

Vacancy 1 was great....vacancy 2...is a number 2 that should go directly in the toilet!
