Okay, I have changed my mind. Ouija boards truly are evil. They are evil for creating a horror film franchise so terrible as Ouija. That is unforgivable evil right there. 😜

Question about the Ouija movie franchise. People die simply from their mouths being sewn shut. Do they not realize there are body modification fetishests who have done this? People can breathe through their noses and... Wait, I figured it out! Everyone in the Ouija movies is a "Mouth Breather". It explains so much! This is why they are all so improbably incompetent and die so easily just from having their mouths forced closed via spirit sewing. They are all Mouth Breathers.

More serious thought: Does this mean every victim of the first film, when they died with their mouths sewn shut are now condemned to be silent ghosts?

They don't die from the stitches alone. Debbie is shown killing herself, Isabelle has her had smashed against the sink, and Trevor is drowned in the pool. Pete, while his death is off-screen in the movie, is shown in the film's novelization slitting his wrists wide open after being possessed.

I was mostly joking. My more serious question was if this condemned their ghosts to wander silently too.
