I Like Douglas, But...

His (way too) tan and (way too) white teeth were distracting. The cast worked well together. I liked the movie. But Douglas just looked freaky.

De Niro made a joke about his tan and general looks so it was meant to be a part of a running gag... the old guy who goes to great lengths to appear younger, the better to get the young ladies... though it wasn't so funny that it could be dragged out over a movie.

He has always had a thing for younger women just like Paul McCartney George Clooney Rod Stewart and Ringo Starr they all like younger women they are male Cougars he was character in Lv was pushing 70 he is girlfriend wasn't much older than 30 that's nearly 40 years difference.

I think Douglas also did these things in real life too, to boost his self-esteem, bearing in mind the recent health issues he's gone through...

When you think of what he's had to face, if a false tan and teeth whitening stops him from seeing an ill man recovering from treatment, then he deserves to do whatever he likes to make himself feel better! This is one case where it isn't just pure vanity; he's been through some serious stuff, and I don't begrudge him any cosmetic touches.


