The singer at Binions

I like how whenever the group went to see her, they saw her sing maybe 10 lines or before she ended her act.

And she's the best act they've ever seen, and they're the best audience she's ever had.

A tough act. She was a lounge singer. Musical fill for the afternoon drinkers. She was likely doing it for the adventure. It wouldn't have paid much.

reply

And there was really hard autotune on her voice. Very poorly done.

Yeah, and wasn't one of the times she was performing and she quits, her and MD walk outside and it's like early in the day? Same with when they first met her. What kind of lounge act performs early in the day, even in Vegas? No wonder they were her "best audience"..

reply

The bar wasn't even open when she was performing on one occasion, or maybe she was just rehearsing?

It was covered in the storyline though, as she said she did accounting work for the Casino, and they let her sing there. So she was living out her lifelong dream and exchanged being paid for being allowed to sing there. It would explain the odd hours of her performances.

if it was any good they'd have made an American version by now - Hank Hill

reply

Correct me if I am wrong, but I do not believe Binions ever had a lounge.
Anything but pure gambling joint would be anathema to Benny

reply

I think you're correct! I stayed there a few years back, and I don't remember a lounge.

Lamest thread ever posted on imdb. Possibly the reason they're shutting down the message board.
