Dr. Allen's voice.

Would it have killed them to pay Tobin Bell a little bit to get just his voice? I respect low budgets but it would have been easy enough to not include his voice, instead of trying to fool people.

I thought it was his voice. It was certainly him in the picture of Audrey and her father, probably created using a photo of him taken for Boogeyman 2 photoshopped in to the photo of the actress playing Audrey.

I never saw Boogeyman 2, so just to see him in the picture and hear what sounded like him, came as a complete surprise.

If it is his voice, was it an archival recording from Boogeyman 2? Since I never saw that film, I don't know if he said those lines in it. It's possible he recorded the lines and gave permission to use his photo as a favor to the makers of Boogeyman 3, hence why he wasn't credited.

I was pretty convinced that it was Tobin's voice. Of course, I wasn't trying to study it to hear if it wasn't. So maybe I was easily fooled.

Then again, maybe I was wrong...

What Boogeyman 3 failed to capitalize upon was the chance to return actor Tobin Bell to his role in Boogeyman 2. The characters turn to Dr. Allen's journal several times over the course of the movie, and Allen's narration is delivered by some anonymous guy who doesn't sound a thing like Bell. Couldn't the producers have shot some narration and flashback scenes with Bell for this movie? I kept thinking that the movie could have derived some energy from his presence.
