Does anyone remember the name of the song and the singer that they listen to? Sounded like some kind of German crooner.

It's Grönemeyer I think.

It's a song by German actor/singer Herbert Groenemeyer, his music is kind of on the mainstream/ cheesy side. The song is called "Ich hab dich lieb".

Btw, even if you're not familiar with Grönemeyer as a singer, you might still have seen him before. He played one of the leads in "Das Boot".
