I just read on TVRage.com, that The Fixer has "ended."
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo!!!! I thought there was a second series shot and ready to be aired. I wonder what happened? The last news about the show on ITV's site is from May 2008. I really liked this show. Oh well, maybe they will air the second series episodes sometime in the not too distant future.

If it has been cancelled then this is bad news.
It was good idea for a series and I liked the cast.
If ITV is going to cancel all its decent dramas what are they going to show? MONKEY TENNIS? ANT AND DEC?
Er, "ended" in the UK just means a series (known as seasons in America) has finished, not the programme itself. Also, Tamzin Outhwaite seems to think there's a second series and claimed to be back on the set.
"It was the first time I've worked since I had my baby, so for me it was like coming back to a family who had been very supportive during a very important time in my life," she said. "It felt really comfortable and I was really happy to back." --from Digital Spy
...So, unless she's delusional and imagining she was shooting a second series, it looks like The Fixer is still with us for now.
(And just edited to add: if you check The Fixer's page at ITV.com you'll see that a second series is mentioned and that it's coming soon.)
On amazon it shows the series 2 dvd being released on Sept 7 so I have no idea how they're planning on airing it.
shareThey could always push it back. It wouldn't be the first time a DVD release date on amazon was changed. According to the Radio Times online TV listings, it starts on Tuesday, September 1st.

The script is a real groaner. "Go polish your guns." Judging by the references to Sarah Conner, probably a media studies grad on the make.
In the latest episode they shoot a suspect dead in front of a witness who had her toe skewered off. She is just swept under the carpet.
