I was very surprised to see her get the BAFTA's on Sunday as I think she is a two trick pony like the awful "actor" Peter Mullan. That face they put on and then hold the stare is not acting to me it is totally unnatural and unconvincing and apparently director's are using it more and more. Having watched some very good actors over a considerable number of years the difference is the subtlety of the look, movement of the eyes and all parts of the face and the less is more, effortless performances where the actor never appears to be acting and totally sucks the audience in. To me OC and PM style of acting is hit you over the head with a sledgehammer as opposed to subtle. Just my opinion folks but I do notice this "style" of acting more and more.
