Last Straw! No more horrorfest movies for me, and can we get a zero.....

rating options on here.

Okay in the first season there were a couple of decent movies, I thought Gravedancers was pretty decent, and Reincarnation, the Japanese one was pretty good too. But since then its been one movie worse than the next, and this movie was just really bottom of the barrel. Based on a rating of 4.0 that means there were some people who had to give this at least around an eight or above and are you serious, even if you were in this movie that would be no excuse. They throw in Tony Todd, who I like, because the movie itself is crap, at least a few people will say hey its candyman or hey its the final destination guy and go see.

- Pretty much the only horror movies they can make in the US are crappy slasher films, which shouldn't even be classified as horror and have their own genre
- remakes
- or movies like this where they get a monkey to write it for a banana and get a bunch of actors who will never work again, in the process making the money for pretty much nothing, and making a profit just on the fact that rental distributors will buy a couple of copies (this movie, paranormal activity - i still dont how this made more than a couple of bucks)

honestly, if you want a good movie these days, you got to watch a european/asian/ or latin movie , because they still have good stories and serviceable effects

O, and btw can some moderator on imdb add 0/10, because movies like this are actually so bad they dont even deserve a rating one.

I have to admit that this year I really did like Dread a lot...

This one bummed me out. It started off great, I was really into it. But the last 20 minutes or so really dragged. The girls helping each other walk just got older & older & older. Even with everything going on around them, they never seemed in danger, they just sloooooooooooowly helped each other walk thru each scene. Both girls were super hot though!

I dunno, I really dug the tongue in cheek aspect of it. I never took the movie seriously at all. It was complete camp from beginning to end.

I fel you OP, the horrorfest flicks are hit or miss...I remember highly anticipating the FIRST batch of Afterdark flicks...I only liked half of them (Reincarnation, Abandoned, Gravedancers and to a lesser degree, but still enjoyable for what it is, Dark Ride). From there, I watch them sparingly, some good ones that stick out for me are Mulberry Street, Nightmare Man, Frontiers from Horrorfest 2, Autopsy, Perkins 14 from Horrorfest 3...

I've only seen Graves from HF 4 and have to say, it STUNK!!!! Gave it a 2/10 (mainly for the hottie chickies)...what a waste of Tony Todd & Bill Moseley. You'd think an independent movie from a comic creator would be GOLDEN....'fraid not.

I'm not disputing this by any means. But you should try PG13 horror movies. Here me out:
Rated R U.S. movies are rated R for two reasons dropping the F bomb more than once nudity and gore.

Rated PG13 U.S. movies are more scary because they actually have to put in thoughts on how to draw everyone in. They can't say the f bombs they're not bloody and there can't be nudity so there is only route left and that's to actually get under your skin
